A-series paper sizes
The basic paper size in Europe is A0, which has an area of 1 m² with a size of 1189 x 841 mm. In a sheet of A0 are 16 sheets of A4.
A1 is half of the basic size, which with a size of 841 x 594 mm has an area of 0.5 m². In a sheet of A1 are 8 sheets of A4.
A1 paper is used for sidewalk signs and posters.
A2 is half of a sheet of A1, which with a size of 594 x 420 mm has an area of 0.25 m². In a sheet of A2 are 4 sheets of A4.
A2 paper is used in photo frames and click frames.
A3 is half of a sheet of A2 and has a size of 420 x 297 mm. In a sheet of A3 are 2 sheets of A4, folded is the A4 size.
A3 paper is available at PaperCenter as Metallic Paper, Textured Paper, Colored Paper and Plain White. We even have A3 labels.
A4 is the standard paper size and we use it daily, it fits in any printer. A4 paper is half of a sheet of A3 and has a size of 297 x 210 mm.

A5 is half of a sheet of A4 and has a size of 210 x 148 mm. In a sheet of A4 are 2 sheets of A5.
Almost all PaperCenter paper can be cut to size A5 as desired.
A6 is half of A5 and has a size of 148 x 105 mm. In a sheet of A4 are 4 sheets of A6.

A7 is half of A6 and has a size of 105 x 74 mm. In a sheet of A4 are 8 sheets of A7.

A9 is half of A8 and has a size of 52 x 37 mm. In a sheet of A4 are 32 sheets of A9.

Photos are usually taken with a fixed ratio of height and width. To print it on photo paper you can choose from 2 different standard paper sizes, including 10 x 15 cm.

A sheet of A4 paper folded in three makes the size 99 x 210 mm, this size is used for compliment cards.
In a DL envelope with the size 110 x 220 mm, fits a 1/3 A4.
At PaperCenter we have large sheets of cardboard in the size 50 x 65 cm. These can be cutor cut to size yourself.
Our APLI craft paper has a standard size of 320 x 240 mm, A4 and 500 x 600 mm.

Paper weight
A-series paper weights
The weight of paper is measured and displayed in the number of grams per square meter (g/m²) and then the A0 format is assumed.
If you have chosen 80 grams of paper, then a sheet of A0 of that paper weighs 80 grams. In a sheet of A0 there are 16 sheets of A4, so a sheet of A4 really weighs 5 grams. Useful to know, i.v.m. the number of stamps when sending.

For stationery and other correspondence, 80 grams of paper is generally used. If you want a little less translucent paper for your correspondence, choose 90 or 100 grams. For special applications, depending on the printer, you can use even heavier paper, for example 120, 160, 170, 180 or even 200 and 240 grams.
